Baby Tropical Parfait with Gerber 3rd Foods Lil’ Bits - Laughing and Losing It

Baby Tropical Parfait with Gerber 3rd Foods Lil’ Bits

You know that time in a baby’s life when he thinks he is a grown man?  He runs away when you try to get hm into the bath, giggling of course, but on a mission somewhere.  He needs to be somewhere clearly, and it is NOT in the bath!  Whatever his plan it is obvious, young man is his OWN man and certainly growing up.

Eventually I win the chase and get bath boy in the bath, chase again after, get him clothed and ready for bed. These transitions are normal and, most of the time, pretty funny.  But what about the soft to solid food transition?  That part of growing up can be a bit scary, especially for new parents.  Gerber 3rd Foods Lil’ Bits are a great food option to transition baby into chewing solid foods.

Gerber Lil’ Bits are specifically designed for crawlers 8 -12 months, and are a great option to introduce your escape artist, (at least in my case) to new textures and food combinations. Each Lil’ Bits™ recipe includes just the right size pieces of soft fruits and veggies to help little guy learn and master chewing. And Gerber 3rd Foods Lil’ Bits use the high quality ingredients with no added starch, artificial favors or colors.

I love watching my little guy eat his first bit of soft food.  A look of amazement followed by a finger in the mouth to feel the new texture, and then satisfied first chews.  These moments are priceless and once again, usually very cute and funny.

Why not take Gerber 3rd Foods Lil’ Bits and add a few ingredients to make a special meal for baby?  That’s exactly what I did–making a tropical parfait for little guy.

I grabbed the following ingredients:

Gerber 3rd Foods Lil’ Bits Banana Apple Mango.

Coconut Oil

Strawberry yogurt.

The assembly is super easy, but the end result will make YOU want to eat it.  Pour Gerber 3rd Foods Lil’ Bits Banana Apple Mango into a small bowl, dump a few dollops of your little guy’s favorite strawberry yogurt on top.  And then the final piece, just a few drops of coconut oil.  It is liquid here in our hot florida house, but if your coconut oil is solid, soft white, consider mixing a small dab to the strawberry yogurt before adding.  This little added coconut bit will take the tropical smell and taste to a whole new level.

Who says little guys can’t have fun with food?  Not me!  Check out Gerber 3rd Foods Lil’ Bits in a huge variety of flavors and see what recipe you can come up with for your favorite growing baby!
