The holiday season is the perfect time to get together with friends and enjoy some good food. But there is so much else going on. Parties, school events, charity events, and the list continues. I know I’m really making the effort this year to simplify my Christmas. Stress less, enjoy more–that’s my mantra. But you still want a little bit of sparkle, especially if you’re entertaining. The Cracker Barrel Cheese Tray is a perfect hors d’oeuvre for simple entertaining and my free printable Christmas place cards give you that extra bit of sparkle for your Holiday meal with out too much fuss.
I love this Cracker Barrel Cheese Tray. You simply set it out with your favorite add-ons and you have a no-fuss appetizer for your friends. Have you ever hosted a gathering but failed to actually chat with your guests? Yes, I have. I was too busy running around making sure everything was perfect. The holidays are a time for meaningful conversations. Simplify! So you can enjoy some of those conversations. The Cracker Barrel Cheese Tray is a great first step to simplify when entertaining.
You can find the Cracker Barrel Cheese Tray in the cheese section at Walmart.
I’ve also created free printable placecards for that bit of holiday magic at the table. Here’s a preview of what I’m offering.

Simply click on the design that you would like, save to your computer, and print. Here they are in PDF format:
Create the Placecards
First print your desired variety, blue or red. Each page will make 9 placecards. Cut your paper horizontally into three even rows. Each strip will have 6 rectangles. See number 1 below.
Cut each of the six rectangle paper strips vertically into three even pieces once again. This should give you 9 cards. Each card will have two rectangles as shown in image number 2 above. You’re almost there! Simply fold the two rectangles where they meet in the middle of the card so it stands and there is a rectangle on each side of the placecard. See image 3. Then use your favorite pens to write the names of your guests nicely on either side of the placecard.
Super easy, and just the right touch of sparkle for the Holiday meal.
