You’ve gotta love Game Day food. Especially the satisfying kind with all the fixings. I went to my local grocery store to grab some Progresso Chili and got to thinking about how I can turn up the toppings for our #ProgressoGameDay. I love the combo of meat and potatoes. Always have. Then it dawned on me. What about Potato TOTS to top the Progresso Chili? That’s it! Load the hearty Progresso Chili with crispy taters.
To get started go to your grocery store and pick out any variety of Progresso Chili that suits your taste.
First, visit your local grocery retailer and purchase one or more of the chili products from Progresso. You may like the new variety, Progresso Roasted Vegetable Chili, a meatless option with three beans tomatoes, carrots and lots of other veggies. Or try one of two meat varieties including: Smokehouse Pork and Beef Chili with Beans, and Southwest Style White Chicken Chili with Beans.
Next, prepare your taters and toppings. Grab your favorite taters from the frozen isle, and prepare as desired making sure to put a HIGH priority on the crisp. Grab some shredded cheese and fully cooked bacon as well.
Heat up your Progresso Chili which is right around $4.49 per 20-ounce chili pouch (2-2 ½ servings), and can be found in the soup aisle. Make sure to follow the package instructions for thorough heating. Grab you hot taters and pile them on top of individual servings. Then add shredded cheese and bacon. If you like, throw on some chives for extra flavor.
This was a hit with the husband and kids. If you’re feeling extra adventurous try these other Tater-Chili topping options:
- Fresh tomatoes
- sour cream
- grilled onions
- grilled peppers
- ham bits
Really anything that you can imagine. This is what I came up with for #ProgressoGameDay. Check out other Progresso Game Day recipes for more inspiration to please your cheering crowd on game day. Also, follow Progresso on Facebook for all the latest in Progresso products.
